Everything was really good, and it had good wi-fi. Had a private safe, a minibar, and central heating in my king room. - the breakfasts were savoury and tasty with bakery. - All the staff was kind.

the location for ascona was great, really close to a quiet garden with two outdoor swimming pools and the square in the centre of ascona. we visited la curt bandida, based steps away from the hotel.

I liked its magnificent and incredible location!
The breakfast with a beautiful view was served in the restaurant. I booked a room with a comfortable bed, a safe box, television and a mini fridge bar👍

The hotel is in a beautiful position on the shore of the lake and the rooms at the front have pretty balconies where you can sit and enjoy the atmosphere.
There is some disadvantage of being on the main promenade - it was very noisy at night. Whilst appreciating that this is an older traditional swiss hotel the lack of air conditioning in summer with temperatures in the 30s was a problem. There was not even a ceiling fan and leaving the windows open did mean the noise levels were distrubing, especially when the street market set up at 6.30 am!

I stayed in this incredibly beautiful hotel for 2 days, had wonderful experience, enjoyed its fantastic location short walk to the fantastic lake called '' Lago Maggiore '', the pedestrian zone, and the center of Ascona. The staff were all welcoming, which was unquestionably a plus. I had functional and stylish room complete with a separate closet and a balcony, for instance. The service was excellent, including a friendly check-in.
